A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of speaking TWICE in my home state of Massachusetts. (Go Red Sox!) In between engagements I was able to visit with a friend, eat too much of my favorite "New England" food, and walk around the parking lot of Bishop Stang High School, from which I graduated! Cool!
Thanks to the wonderful people at the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts and at Second Wind Dreams for two fabulous events.
I wanted to share a great tip I received from Bernadette Bosco, the COO of Partners Home Care.
Bernadette attended my program about Red Carpet Customer Service, and heard me talk about how High Point University has a customized welcome sign and reserved parking space for each guest that visits. Bernadette told me that when they are hiring new staff at Partners Home Care, each person interviewing for the job is welcomed with their name on a marquee when they enter the building. Bernadette had just hired a new team member - a fabulous woman who had a couple of job offers. She chose to work for Partners Home Care. Why? She told Bernadette "As soon as I walked in and saw my name I knew there was something different about this place."
Question: In what creative ways do you use the names of others to surprise and delight them?
